About the program
HIPPY (Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters) recognises that caregivers are their children’s first and most important teachers. The program offers fun, free tools and activities to grow caregiver skills and confidence.
HIPPY families spend around 10 to 15 minutes a day, five days a week, doing fun learning activities together. They also participate in regular group meetings where they can meet other HIPPY families, learn more about child development and behaviour; and find out about local services, schools, and free local activities.
HIPPY families are supported by qualified support staff, as well as Tutors - who are caregivers who have previously participated in the program.
