Mobile Youth Outreach
We provide 1-1 and group support for at-risk young people aged 8-18 in Wagga Wagga where there are gaps in local support services.

Overview
One night in detention can change a life – but so can one supportive adult. In Wagga Wagga, 54 reasons is showing up for young people when and where they need us, offering connection, care and a different path forward.
Who is this program for
Young people aged 8-18 who are disengaged from education or who face other complexities.
About the program
Our Mobile Youth Outreach program in Wagga Wagga is working to reduce the number of young people – especially Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people – caught in avoidable short-term remand through targeted, culturally relevant outreach and services.
Our Youth Workers engage young people who are at risk of disengaging from school or interacting with the justice system. We meet them where they are in the community, providing a range of activities in a group setting to build trust and get to know their individual situation. These activities are tailored to the interests and needs of young people in each local community and are designed to build rapport and trust.
Each session provides opportunities for young people to be actively connected with specialist services they may not otherwise access such as Headspace, schools, local Councils, local job networks, disability support services and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations.
