Children and Young People FDV Therapeutic Service
We're working in south-east Perth to support children and young people aged 5-17 with experience of family violence to feel safe and supported.

Overview
Children and young people experience family and domestic violence in their own way – and need support designed just for them. This service provides safe, age-appropriate therapeutic care to help them make sense of their experiences, strengthen relationships, and move towards recovery, healing and a greater sense of safety in their lives.
Who is this program for
Children and young people aged 5-17 who have experiences of family violence
About the program
Experiencing family and domestic violence can have a lasting impact on children and young people – but with the right support, recovery is possible. This service recognises children as victim-survivors in their own right, with their own voices, experiences and needs. Through trauma-informed therapeutic support, children and young people are supported to understand what they’ve been through, build coping skills, and strengthen their sense of safety and wellbeing. The service also works with caregivers, helping them better understand the impacts of violence and support their child’s recovery. Together, this creates a stronger foundation for healing, connection and long-term wellbeing.
